DBA graduates living their dreams

Posted on December 12, 2019

A new chapter has begun for 35 graduates in the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys’ Dream, Believe, Achieve program, as they take a new career path in hospitality or retail with nationally-recognised vocational qualifications.

The Dream, Believe, Achieve Program is a North Queensland Toyota Cowboys training and employment initiative delivering accredited courses to unemployed and disadvantaged North Queenslanders.

Training is proudly delivered by Allara Learning, and the program is funded by the Queensland Government’s ‘Skilling Queenslanders for Work’ initiative.

Tuesday’s graduation ceremony marked the culmination of an intensive nine-week training program, comprising in-class training, work experience and one-on-one mentoring and learning guidance, for 28 Certificate III in Hospitality (SIT30616) and 7 Certificate III in Retail (SIT30216) students.

Since 2015, Dream, Believe, Achieve has successfully helped hundreds of North Queenslanders gain an industry-recognised qualification and find long-term employment.
