Dream, Believe, Achieve wins state training award

Delivered by Allara Learning, the North Queensland Cowboys Dream, Believe, Achieve training program has been named the ‘Community Training Initiative of the Year’ at the Regional Queensland Training Awards on Friday 14 July in Townsville.

Dream, Believe, Achieve delivers accredited courses to unemployed and disadvantaged North Queenslanders, with mentoring support that assists participants in completing their training and moving into paid employment.

Cowboys’ general manager of community Fiona Pelling said;

“This award is a shared one… Our training partner, Allara Learning, has been integral to the training attainment… To be recognised as a leader in the community in this space is truly humbling, this award is the pinnacle in recognition for the hard work we strive to do each day and is an endorsement of the results we have seen in the program…”

The award was presented by the Queensland Minister for Justice and Minister for Training and Skills, Hon Yvette D’Ath, who noted the importance of remaining committed to growing a strong vocation education and training (VET) system for Queensland.

“The awards celebrate the way Queenslanders have used VET to build careers, grow businesses and strengthen their respective communities,” Mrs D’Ath said.

The Cowboys Dream, Believe, Achieve program will now progress to the state final of the Queensland Training Awards at a gala dinner on Friday 1 September in Brisbane.

Allara Learning is proud to partner with the North Queensland Cowboys to deliver the Dream, Believe, Achieve program.
