Congratulations to our nine students who completed their training and work experience at Dugald River mine site in remote Queensland through the ‘Launch into Work’ Program with Compass Group.
Trainees were provided with soft-skill training prior to the program’s commencement to get them work-ready, before undertaking accredited training with an Allara Learning trainer to complete a customised skill-set of 8 units specially chosen to equip them with the skills required to enter utility roles on completion of the program.
The students then undertook work experience at the Dugald River mine site to gain practical training in the kitchen and in cleaning roles, with mentor support throughout the program.
Trainees’ hard work and fantastic results led to them being offered employment with Compass Group, allowing many of them to secure their first job and setting them up for a bright future in hospitality.
