Kiribati students graduate hospitality training at InterContinental Hayman Island Resort
Posted on July 3, 2019
Congratulations to our Kiribati students from InterContinental Hayman Island Resort who have graduated with a SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality.
The students completed training on-site at the luxurious Intercontinental Hayman Island Resort, where they gained a range of skills that will help them excel in their roles and set them up for successful careers in hospitality.
Trainees developed essential practical skills, including safe work practices, and food safety and hygiene, as well as soft skills such as customer service, coaching skills and conflict management. They then put their new skills into practice within the resort’s various venues.
After successfully completing their training the students attended a graduation ceremony held at the beautiful resort, where they celebrated their accomplishments and expressed their gratitude to their trainer, through sharing cultural song and dance.
Allara Learning trainer, Arthur Burchett, expressed how thrilled he is with the fantastic results achieved by the students.
“Watching each of the students grow throughout the program was inspiring. They were all very appreciative for the opportunity and so proud of themselves. It was a very proud moment to see them successfully complete their training, knowing they now have the foundation they need to succeed in the future” he said.
The students are excited to continue to develop their hospitality skills, moving on to complete a SIT40416 Certificate IV in Hospitality. We look forward to seeing the great results they achieve as they undertake their next stage of training.
