Dream, Believe, Achieve

The North Queensland Cowboys Dream, Believe, Achieve hospitality program provides participants with the skills and knowledge needed to start a career in the hospitality industry.

After I graduated from my course, I got work placement down at the Cowboys Leagues Club, that's how I found my foundation for the future.

About the program

Cowboys Dream, Believe, Achieve – Hospitality is a training and employment program delivering nationally accredited training in hospitality to unemployed and disadvantaged North Queenslanders, with mentoring support to assist in completing training and securing ongoing paid employment. We are currently running programs in Townsville and Cairns

Nationally Recognised Qualification

Graduates obtain a SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality, giving them the skills and knowledge to work in a variety of hospitality settings.

Mentoring

A dedicated mentor from the Cowboys' community team provides 1-on-1 mentoring and learning guidance to participants, during the in-class training and for a period of 12 months from commencement, assisting participants to secure ongoing paid employment.

Expert training

Professional trainers from Allara Learning provide a mix of classroom-based, hands-on instruction and work experience for students, giving them the knowledge and skills to succeed in the hospitality industry.

Queensland Government support

This Skilling Queenslanders for Work project is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government.

It was great to know that I could sign up for a program that would support me not only with training, but with possible employment after I had completed my studies.
